Jim and I have lived in beautiful Black Rock 10 years this March and have enjoyed the peace and beauty of our surroundings and the friendly, interesting neighbors who share this space.  From 1976 to 2004, I was on the boards of 2 neighborhood HOAs.   From 1977 to 1987, I was the bookkeeper (salaries, accts receivable and accts payable) for Jim’s engineering firm.  At the same time I taught swimming and water exercises for our local Y’s for 30 years.  I am happy to say that most of my life has been about getting things done.  This is the same mission I wish to accomplish for my term here.  Please feel free to express your concerns by email or phone.  For as long as possible :)

Pete and I visited Edenton in 2012 at the suggestion of our daughter and son-in-law.  We fell in love with the area and bought a house before we left—definitely not something we have done before or since. Most importantly, absolutely, no regrets.

We currently live outside of Philadelphia, PA and travel back and forth to Merry Hill as often as our schedules allow.  Pete is retiring from 44 years in academia this year.  I intend to wrap up my career in healthcare in 2017.  We will be moving to Merry Hill late in 2016/early 2017.  We look forward to the opportunity to enjoy beautiful Black Rock and our wonderful neighbors on a permanent basis.

I firmly believe that we have a responsibility to contribute to the communities in which we live.  I look forward to being a good neighbor and responsible Board member.
